Yellow Spot 12 Year Old Irish Whiskey 0.7l, alc. 46 Vol.-%

In 1966, John Power & Son, John Jameson & Son and the Cork Distilleries Company (which operated Old Midleton Distillery) combined to form the Irish Distillers Group. Subsequently, it was decided to close the existing distilleries and to bundle the entire production in a new, very modern facility. This was built in Midleton. In 1975 production ended at the Old Jameson Distillery and began at the new one. The old distillery has now been converted into a visitor centre.

Yellow Spot matured for 12 years in a combination of ex-Bourbon, Sherry and Malaga casks. Bottled at 46% ABV. Alcohol, not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Spicy with hints of tea, creamy sweetness and ripe fruit, mild oak.

Taste: Mixture of sweet and spicy with honey, nutmeg and cloves, fruity with apples and peaches.
