Writers Tears Copper Pot Irish Whiskey 0.7l, alc. 40% by volume

In June 2016, the Walsh Whiskey Distillery opened in County Carlow in Royal Oak. Located on the River Barrow, the distillery produces a variety of styles: malt, grain and pot still whiskey. Many years before the distillery was founded, the company launched whiskeys it had bought under its own label (The Irishman and Writer's Tears).

Writers Tears Copper Pot matured in ex-bourbon casks for an unspecified amount of time. Bottled at a mild 40% ABV. Alcohol, not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Fresh fruit notes with creamy sweetness, malty and floral, slightly spicy, ginger.

Taste: Green apples and pears, sweet with caramel and vanilla, floral notes with some oak.
