Wolfburn Cask Strength 2023 0.7l, alc. 56.9 Vol.-%

The original Wolfburn Distillery was founded in 1821 by William Smith & Co in the Northern Highlands. Production stopped around 1850 and the distillery fell into disrepair. By 1872 only ruins remained. It wasn't until 2011 that plans emerged for a new distillery not far from the site of the old facility. Whiskey production began in January 2013.

Wolfburn Cask Strength was matured indefinitely in a combination of former bourbon and sherry casks. Bottled with a powerful 56.9 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not cold filtered.

Aroma: Sweet cherry syrup, dried fruits, mango and apples. Then roasted aromas, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon almonds and gentle peat smoke.

Taste: Plum cake, bourbon vanilla and juicy dates. Earthy smoke harmonizes with creamy honey, dark chocolate, toffee and light fruits.
