Wolfburn Cask Strength 2023 0,7l, alc. 56,9 Vol.-%

The original Wolfburn Distillery was founded in 1821 by William Smith & Co in the northern Highlands. Production ceased around 1850 and the distillery fell into disrepair. By 1872, only ruins remained. It was not until 2011 that plans were drawn up for a new distillery not far from the site of the old plant. Whisky production then began in January 2013.

Wolfburn Cask Strength reifte für unbestimmte Zeit in einer Kombination aus ehemaligen Bourbon- und Sherryfässern. Abgefüllt mit kräftigen 56,9 vol. % Alkohol, ohne Farbstoff und nicht kältefiltriert.

Aroma: Süßer Kirschsirup, Trockenfrüchte, Mango und Äpfel. Danach Röstaromen, Vanille, Karamell, Zimtmandeln und sanfter Torfrauch.

Geschmack: Zwetschgenkuchen, Bourbonvanille und saftige Datteln. Erdiger Rauch harmoniert mit cremigem Honig, Edelbitterschokolade, Toffee und hellen Früchten.
