West Cork Maritime Release Port Cask 0.7l, alc. 46 Vol.-%

West Cork Distillers was founded in 2003 by three friends. They purchased two relatively small stills from a Swiss spirits producer and began whiskey production. What initially happened in the house of one of the three friends was moved to the new distillery in Skibbereen in 2014. The distillery has a very wide range of bottlings and matures many of the stored whiskeys in different casks.

West Cork Maritime Release Port Cask first matured in ex-bourbon casks for an undefined period of time and then received post-maturation in Quinta da Boeira Port Casks. Bottled at 46% ABV. Alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Peppery with other spices, subtly sweet with hints of red berries.

Taste: Spicy with nutmeg and pepper, some caramel and vanilla, notes of ripe fruit and oak.
