In 1987, John Teeling acquired a former distillery called Ceimici Teoranta Distillery, which was owned by the state and produced potato distillates. After renaming it the Cooley Distillery, he equipped the distillery to produce both single malt and single grain. With the acquisition of the old Kilbeggan Distillery, John Teeling created space to store the whiskeys produced at Cooley Distillery.

Tyrconnell 10 Jahre Sherry Finish reifte zuerst in ehemaligen Bourbonfässern und erhielt im Anschluss eine Nachreifung in Sherryfässern. Abgefüllt mit 46 % vol. Alkohol.

Aroma: Reife Zitrusfrüchte, nussige Noten, etwas Mokka, zart würzig mit Eiche.

Geschmack: Nussig mit mildem Sherry, reifen Birnen, geröstetem Malz und trockener Eiche.
