The Tullibardine distillery, located in the Scottish Highlands, originally came from a brewery. King James IV bought beer from this very brewery back in 1488. Whisky production began in 1886. It was not until 1947 that the brewery buildings were converted into today's Tullibardine Distillery. Since 2011, the distillery has been owned by the French wine and spirits group Picard Vins & Spiritueux, which owns the 'Highland Queen' brand, among others.
Tullibardine 225 Sauternes Finish matured for an undefined period in ex-bourbon casks and was then matured in white wine casks. Bottled with 43 % vol. Alcohol, without colorant.
Aroma: Spicy and slightly tart with barley malt, delicate sweetness and a hint of unripe fruit.
Taste: Spicy with nutmeg and a little cinnamon, dry and cereal-like with walnut and citrus fruits.
