The Tullibardine Distillery, located in the Scottish Highlands, originally originated as a brewery. King James IV first bought beer from this very brewery in 1488. Whisky production began in 1886. It wasn't until 1947 that the brewery buildings were converted into the current Tullibardine Distillery. Since 2011, the distillery has been owned by the French wine and spirits group Picard Vins & Spiritueux, which owns, among other brands, the 'Highland Queen' brand.
Tullibardine 18 Years was matured entirely in former bourbon and sherry casks. Bottled at 43% ABV, without coloring.
Aroma: Characteristic Tullibardine bourbon notes of vanilla, caramel, cream soda, sweet nectar, and oak intertwine with layers of dried fruits and warming spices
Taste: To counterbalance the lush nose, there are other spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon and candied ginger, underlined with a hint of brown sugar.
