The Tomatin distillery was founded in the Scottish Highlands in 1897 and was the largest whisky distillery in Scotland in the 1970s with 23 stills. In 1985, the distillery was sold to Japanese companies, which lowered the production level of Tomatin. Today, the distillery has a large number of different single malts in its range - with peat smoke and without, from a wide variety of casks.

Tomatin 18 Jahre reifte zuerst in ehemaligen Bourbonfässern und erhielt im Anschluss eine Nachreifung in Sherryfässern. Abgefüllt mit 46 vol. % Alkohol, ohne Farbstoff und nicht kältefiltriert.

Aroma: Süß, dunkle Schokolade und geröstete Nüssen, Anklänge reifer Früchte, trockene Eiche.

Geschmack: Reife Zitrusfrüchte, glasierte Birnen, Karamell und Muskat mit Nüssen, schokoladige Eiche.
