Tobermory was founded in 1798 in the town of the same name on the Scottish island of Mull. After many sales and closures, the distillery operated at times as the Ledaig Distillery. However, after another closure, it was renamed Tobermory again. Today the distillery is very successful in producing non-smoky whiskey which they bottle as Tobermory. And also smoky single malt, which they bring into the glasses of connoisseurs as Ledaig.
Tobermory 21 years old first matured in ex-bourbon casks and then received a post-maturation in Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at 46.3 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.
Aroma: Fresh and fruity, ripe citrus fruits with a creamy sweetness and a slightly spicy oak note.
Taste: Mixture of sweetness and spice with caramel and nutmeg, light dried fruits and oranges, oak.
