The Talisker distillery was established in 1831 on the Scottish Isle of Skye. Its name derives from Talisker House, located a few miles to the west in the mountains. After a fire in 1960 that destroyed almost the entire distillery, Talisker was faithfully rebuilt a few years later. The breathtaking scenery of Skye attracts countless tourists to the distillery each year, many of whom are captivated by its peppery and smoky single malt whisky.

Talisker Skye matured in oak barrels for an unspecified period. Bottled at 45.8% alcohol by volume.

AROMA: Maritime and peppery with delicate peat smoke, a touch of leather and sweet caramel, mildly fruity.

TASTE: Aromatic mix of sweetness and spice, hints of fruit, toffee and leathery smoke.
