The Talisker distillery was established on the Isle of Skye in Scotland in 1831. The name is derived from the Talisker House estate, which is located a few miles to the west in the mountains. After a fire in 1960, which destroyed almost the entire distillery, Talisker was faithfully rebuilt a few years later. The breathtaking landscape of Skye attracts countless tourists to the distillery every year, many of whom are enthusiastic about the distillery's peppery, smoky single malt.

Talisker Port Ruighe reifte für nicht definierte Zeit in ehemaligen Bourbonfässern, bevor er eine Nachreifung in Portweinfässern erhielt. Abgefüllt mit 45,8 vol. % Alkohol.

Aroma: Milde Fruchtigkeit, zarte Gewürznote mit Lorbeerblättern, etwas Eiche und unterschwelliger Rauchnote.

Geschmack: Rote Beeren, etwas Pfeffer, milde Fruchtsüße mit aromatischer Eiche und etwas Torfrauch.
