The Talisker distillery was established in 1831 on the Scottish Isle of Skye. The name is derived from the Talisker House estate, located a few miles west in the mountains. After a fire in 1960 destroyed almost the entire distillery, Talisker was faithfully rebuilt a few years later. The breathtaking landscape of Skye attracts countless tourists to the distillery every year, many of whom are enthusiastic about the distillery's peppery, smoky single malt.

Talisker Glacial Edge 45 Years was matured the entire time in twelve heavily charred ex-bourbon casks and then immersed in the ice of Canadian glaciers for 96 hours, allowing the casks' surface to expand in the icy temperatures . Bottled at a robust 49.8% ABV, it is non-chill-filtered and color-free. This 45-year-old is the oldest Talisker original bottling and limited to 2,455 bottles worldwide.

Aroma: Rich, dry, and mild with Talisker's signature peppery note. Added to this are maritime notes of seaweed and iodine, salt crystals, and the sweetness of dried fruit. Creamy vanilla notes and smoky sandalwood accents finish.

Palate: Initially velvety and smooth with hints of cream candy, then more intense with notes of salt, pepper, and a hint of chili. Towards the end, components of cream caramel candy with refreshing undertones.
