Stauning Rye Whiskey 0.7l, alc. 48% vol.

The Stauning Distillery was founded in 2005 in the small town of the same name in Denmark. Production began in 2009, initially with 60,000 proofs of pure alcohol per year. Following Diageo's investment in the distillery, the facility was expanded and output increased to 750,000 proofs of pure alcohol per year. Stauning malts the rye for production and occasionally uses peat and heather for kilning.

Stauning Rye matured for an unspecified period in virgin oak barrels. Bottled at 48% ABV, without coloring, and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Cereal-based with bread dough, spices and fruity chews, dry wood.

Taste: Sweet with herbs and spices, forest honey and a little pepper, peach and oak.
