The Stauning Distillery was founded in 2005 in the small town of the same name in Denmark. Production began in 2009, initially with 60,000 pure alcohol per year. After Diageo acquired a stake in the distillery, the facility was expanded and output increased to 750,000 pure alcohol per year. Stauning malts the rye for production and occasionally uses peat and heather for kilning.

Aroma: Vanilla, cinnamon, ripe peaches, citrus and walnuts.
Palate : Caramel, fresh tobacco, and dried fruits. Toasted oak and fresh notes of rye bread.
