Brothers John and Edward Hopkins founded the Speyburn Distillery in Speyside, Scotland, in 1897. The two men were determined to open the distillery in the same year that Queen Victoria celebrated her 60th reign in order to fill the first cask in the same year as the anniversary. They actually succeeded - but without any windows or doors in the distillery.

Speyburn Hopkins Reserve reifte für nicht definierte Zeit in Eichenholzfässern. Abgefüllt mit 46 % vol. Alkohol, nicht kältefiltriert.

Aroma: Zitrusfrüchte und Schale, malzige Süße mit einem hauch Gewürz und einer Spur Torfrauch.

Geschmack: Süß mit Malzzucker und Karamell, spritzige und frische Fruchtigkeit, leicht würziger Rauch.
