Smokehead Sherry Cask Blast 0.7l, alc. 48 Vol.-%

The "Smokehead" brand single malts were penned by the independent bottler Ian MacLeod. For lovers of smoky drops, Smokehead uses single malt whiskeys from the Scottish island of Islay, which have matured and post-matured in various casks.

Smokehead Sherry Cask Blast matured in a combination of former bourbon and sherry casks for an undefined period of time and then received a post-maturation - also in sherry casks. Bottled at 48 vol. % alcohol, not chill filtered.

Nose: Creamy sweetness, maritime peat smoke with hints of dried fruit, dry oak and soot.

Taste: Herbal honey and some pepper, dry oak wood with maritime smoky notes, ash and nuts.
