In 2011, Jens Drewitz founded Sansibar Whiskey GmbH with the support of Carsten Ehrlich. Behind him and his company lies a sometimes rocky road to establishing the brand as a recognized player in the national and international whiskey market. Even if the individual taste of the individual whiskey connoisseur is not met in every case, at least one thing is confirmed and rarely disputed at the present time - Sansibar Whiskey bottles whiskeys with very high to outstanding quality.

Islay Malt 8 Years Old comes from the Scottish island of Islay and matured in a single cask from 2007 to 2015. Bottled with a strong 52.2 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Sweet and spicy peat smoke, notes of ripe fruit and citrus, some pepper and leather.

Taste: Earthy with spicy floral notes, herbs and vanilla, maritime smoky.
