Named after the river Puni, which flows through the Upper Vinschgau, the distillery in the medieval town of Glurns in South Tyrol produces an Italian malt whiskey using Scottish equipment.
Puni Gold matured for 5 years in former bourbon barrels. Bottled at 43% vol. Alcohol, without coloring and not cold filtered.
Aroma: Malty and sweet with delicate citrus fruitiness, mild spice and delicate oak.
Taste: Citrus fruity with powdered sugar, ginger and green apples, some mint.
