The Pulteney Distillery, which bottles its single malts as "Old Pulteney", was founded in 1826 in the port town of Wick in the northern Highlands. When the distillery opened, the town of Wick was experiencing a massive boom in herring fishing. The large number of people employed in the fishing industry forced the town council to ban alcohol in Wick. Pulteney is one of a few Scottish distilleries located in the city center rather than outside.
Old Pulteney Flotilla Vintage 2010 matured for ten years in former bourbon barrels. Bottled at 46% vol. Alcohol.
Aroma: Citrus fruits and sour drops, creamy sweetness with maritime notes and some oak.
Taste: Mix of sweetness and spice with vanilla and clove, coconut and ripe peaches.
