The Bruichladdich distillery was founded in 1881 by the Harvey brothers on the shores of Loch Indaal. Closed in 1994, a group of private investors breathed new life into the distillery in 2000. Today, Bruichladdich produces single malt whisky on the island of Islay under its own name, entirely without peat smoke. Port Charlotte is a medium-smoky whisky, while Octomore is one of the smokiest single malts in the world.

Bottled with a robust 59.3% alcohol by volume, without added colouring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Sea spray, orchard fruits, peat smoke, heather and vanilla, followed by smoked paprika and iodine .

Flavor: Peat smoke, salted caramel, honeydew melon, apricot, chocolate, sea salt, coconut, pepper.
