The Bruichladdich distillery was founded in 1881 by the Harvey brothers on the shore of Loch Indaal. Closed in 1994, a group of private investors breathed new life into the distillery in 2000. Today, Bruichladdich on the Isle of Islay produces single malt whisky under its own name without any peat smoke. It also produces medium-peated whisky as Port Charlotte and the world's most heavily peated single malts as Octomore.

Octomore 15.1 matured for 5 years in first-fill bourbon casks.
Bottled at a robust 59.1% alcohol by volume, without coloring and non-chill filtered.

Aroma: Caramel, citrus fruits, earthy peat smoke, anise, vanilla, tropical fruits, geranium, ginger and malt

Taste: Sweet and dry malt, smoke, mango, bananas, apricot jam, peat, vanilla custard, toffee
