The story of the Highland distillery began in 2012, when Annabel Thomas had the idea of founding a distillery that produces single malt whisky. Since her parents had purchased the Drimnin estate a few years earlier, this location was ideal. Drimnin was also the originally planned name for the distillery. In the end, however, they decided on the name Nc'Nean, which is an abbreviation of Neachneohain, a ghost queen from Gaelic legends.
Nc'Nean Huntress Orchard Cobbler matured for an unspecified period of time in a combination of former red wine, bourbon and oloroso sherry casks.
Bottled with 48.5% vol. alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.
Aroma and taste: Cherry cake and apricot jam meet notes of vanilla pudding and peppermint tea.
