The story of the Highland distillery began in 2012 when Annabel Thomas had the idea of ​​setting up a distillery that produced single malt whiskey. Since her parents purchased the Drimnin property a few years earlier, this location was a good choice. Drimnin was also the originally planned name for the distillery. Ultimately, however, Mal decided on the name Nc'Nean, which is an abbreviation for Neachneohain, a ghost queen from Gaelic legends.

Nc'Nean AON Cask 18-294 matured for four years in a single STR red wine barrel. Bottled with a strong 57.1% vol. Alcohol, without coloring and not cold filtered.

Aroma: Grainy with toasted notes and sweetness, dry oak and red berries, delicate herbs.

Taste: Sweet with powdered sugar and dry nutty oak, red currants and rose hips, hay and spice.
