Loch Lomond 16 years Falls of Falloch 0.7l, alc. 46.2 Vol.-%

The Loch Lomond distillery was founded in 1964 on the lake of the same name near the town of Alexandria. The distillery is very diverse in the production of whisky. This is due to the malt (smoky and non-smoky) as well as the various systems used to produce whisky. In addition to pot stills, the distillery also has a number of other stills: Lomond stills, Coffey stills for grain whisky since 1993, and column stills.

The Loch Lomond Single Malt Falls of Falloch Cognac Finish was created by Master Distiller Michael Henry, who combined the typical taste characteristics of the Loch Lomond stills with skilful barrel maturation and a special barrel finish. After maturation in ex-bourbon barrels, a 12-month finish followed in former cognac barrels. The non-smoky whisky was bottled after 16 years of maturation and was not chill-filtered or recolored. The bottle label and packaging were designed by renowned artist Brett Beacon.

Bottled with 46.2 vol. % alcohol, not chill filtered.

Aroma: honey, green apple and lime peel.

Taste: Peach and honeycomb combine with vanilla notes and floral accents.
