Tobermory was founded in 1798 in the town of the same name on the Scottish island of Mull. After many sales and closures, the distillery was operated as the Ledaig Distillery for some time. After another closure, however, it was renamed Tobermory again. Today, the distillery successfully produces non-smoky whisky, which they bottle as Tobermory. And also smoky single malt, which they bring into the glasses of connoisseurs as Ledaig.
Ledaig Triple Wood matured for an indefinite period of time in bourbon, port and wine casks. Bottled at a strong 53.8% alcohol by volume, without coloring and not chill-filtered.
Aroma: Poached pears, cinnamon, creamy butterscotch and American cream soda
Taste: Apple strudel and vanilla ice cream are balanced by black pepper, wood smoke, toasted oak and toffee
