Tobermory was founded in 1798 in the town of the same name on the Scottish island of Mull. After numerous sales and closures, the distillery was operated at times as the Ledaig Distillery. Following another closure, it was renamed Tobermory. Today, the distillery successfully produces unpeated whisky, which they bottle as Tobermory, and peated single malt, which they market to connoisseurs as Ledaig.
Ledaig Hebridean Moon is the first 10-year-old bottling from the Tobermory Distillery,
which was bottled at cask strength with a robust 58.8% alcohol by volume.
Matured in second-fill bourbon barrels, without added color and not chill-filtered.
Aroma: Earthy smoke, vanilla, candied fruit and black pepper.
Flavor: Lemon cake, fresh leather, tobacco, toasted oak, cinnamon spice, medicinal smoke.
