Laphroaig 34 Years Ian Hunter Story Book 5 0.7l, alc. 45.5% vol.

The Laphroaig Distillery was officially founded in 1815 in the south of the Scottish Hebridean island of Islay. During Prohibition, the distillery's whisky was sold as medicine, which explains the appearance and presentation of the whiskies. In 1994, the distillery was awarded a Royal Warrant by King Charles III. He greatly appreciates Laphroaig's peaty single malt whisky and visits the distillery regularly. Laphroaig translates roughly as "the beautiful hollow by the broad bay."

Laphroaig 34 Year Old Ian Hunter Story Book 5 matured for the entire time in former bourbon casks and subsequently received a finishing period in PX sherry casks.
Bottled at cask strength with 45.5% alcohol by volume, without added colouring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: A slightly peaty opening with burnt wood and iodine, leading to floral aromas, sweet cotton candy, vanilla toffee and impressions of blueberries and raspberries.

Taste: Sweet and spicy, cold grill ash, peat and salted caramel. Butter toffee, roasted chestnuts, dried flowers and white pepper.
