Laphroaig 34 Years Ian Hunter Story Book 4 Islay Single Malt Scotch Whiskey 0.7l, alc. 46.2% by volume

The Laphroaig Distillery was officially founded in 1815 in the south of the Scottish Hebridean island of Islay. At the time of Prohibition, the distillery's whiskey was sold as medicine, which explains the appearance and features of the whiskeys. In 1994 the distillery received the 'Royal Warrant' from King Charles III. presented. He appreciates the smoky single malt whiskey from Laphroaig and visits the distillery regularly. Laphroaig means something like "the beautiful hollow on the wide bay".

Laphroaig 34 years Ian Hunter Story Book 4 matured the entire time in ex-bourbon casks and then received a post-maturation in Oloroso sherry casks. Bottled at cask strength with 46.2 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Subtle peat smoke with notes of dried fruits, tobacco leaves, eucalyptus and fresh hay, dry oak.

Palate: Meaty notes, complex degraded smokiness with honey, peach and orange blossom, earthy notes and wood.
