Originally founded in 1972, Glengyle shares the same fate as almost all distilleries in Campbeltown. Hedley Wright, descendant of founder William Mitchell and owner of Springbank Distillery, bought the old Glengyle buildings in November 2000 and began renovating them. He mainly used second-hand equipment for the production of the single malt. Glengyle Distillery reopened in 2004 and the first New Make was distilled on March 25. 

Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 9  reifte für nicht definierte Zeit in einer Kombination aus ehemaligen Bourbon- und Sherryfässern. Abgefüllt mit kräftigen 58,4 vol. % Alkohol, ohne Farbstoff und nicht kältefiltriert.

Aroma: Noten von frisch gebackenem Mürbeteiggebäck, Sahnesoda, Bananenbrot und Kokosraspeln mit einer ordentlichen Portion Torfrauch.

Geschmack: Cremige Vanillenoten mit Akzenten von Butterkeksen und Vanillepudding.
