Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 7 0,7l, alc. 59,1 Vol.-%

Originally founded in 1972, Glengyle shares the same fate as almost all distilleries in Campbeltown. Hedley Wright, descendant of founder William Mitchell and owner of Springbank Distillery, bought the old Glengyle buildings in November 2000 and began renovating them. He mainly used second-hand equipment for the production of the single malt. Glengyle Distillery reopened in 2004 and the first New Make was distilled on March 25. 

Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 7 matured for an undefined period in a a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks for an undefined time. Bottled with a strong 59.1 vol. % alcohol, without colorant and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Citrus-fruity and smoky, dry-mineral notes, citrus fruits and peel, fresh.

Taste: Mix of sweetness and acidity with citrus fruits, some vanilla, dry grain, rich smoke.
