Kilkerran 12 years Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whiskey 0.7l, alc. 46% by volume

Originally founded in 1972, Glengyle shares the same fate as almost all of Campbeltown's distilleries. Hedley Wright, descendant of founder William Mitchell and owner of Springbank Distillery, purchased Glengyle's old buildings in November 2000 and began the renovations. When it came to the equipment for making the single malt, he mainly used used equipment. Glengyle Distillery reopened in 2004 and on March 25th the first New Make was distilled.

Kilkerran 12 years matured the entire time in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks. Bottled at 46 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Fresh and sweet, hints of light dried fruits, marzipan and a hint of smoke.

Taste: Ripe citrus fruits with mandarin, dried apricots, caramel and honey, slightly dry oak.
