Kilchoman Machir Bay Cask Strength 2021 Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 0.7l, alc. 58.3% by volume

When Kilchoman distillery opened in 2005, it was the first new distillery on the Scottish island of Islay in 124 years. At Kilchoman, a relatively high value is placed on regionality and craftsmanship. A certain proportion of the barley used for production is grown near the distillery and kilned on our own malting floors. The distillery's single malts delight fans of the smoky whiskey around the world, which means that Kilchoman is gradually expanding.

Kilchoman Machir Bay matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks for an indefinite period. Bottled at cask strength with 58.3% vol. Alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Nose: Opens with light fruity notes and intense waves of fresh green apple. Hints of candied tropical fruit with a lingering component of dry, earthy peat smoke.

Taste: Powerful citrus notes of lemon and orange peel with sweet facets of honeycomb combine with accents of milk chocolate.
