Founded in 1956, King Car Group is an influential company in the Taiwanese food industry. After Taiwan joined the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2002 and the state liquor monopoly fell, TT Lee, owner and founder of the King Car Group, fulfilled a dream by building a whiskey distillery. Construction began in April 2006 and production of Kavalan Single Malt Whiskey began nine months later.

Kavalan Solist Sherry matured in a single sherry cask for an undefined period of time. Bottled with a powerful 58.6 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not cold filtered.

Aroma: Christmassy with spices, dark chocolate, fruit sweetness and dry, nutty wood.

Taste: spicy with pepper, sweet with brown sugar, raisins and dried fruit, chocolaty oak.
