After his father's death in 1819, John Walker and his mother sold the family farm near the Scottish town of Kilmarnock and used the proceeds to open a local general store. After a while, the range of the shop was expanded to include whisky. John experimentally applied blending methods used for tea at the time to whiskey. Today, Johnnie Walker is the best-selling Scotch whiskey in the world .

Johnnie Walker 15 Years Green Label matured the entire time in oak barrels. Bottled at 43 vol. % alcohol.

Aroma: Spicy floral with heather, ripe fruit notes, creamy sweetness and a hint of smoke.

Taste: Sweetness and spice in the mix, pear and peel, toffee and vanilla, delicately nutty, oak.
