Jameson Five Oak Cask Release 0.7l alc. 46% vol.

In 1966, John Power & Son, John Jameson & Son and the Cork Distilleries Company (operated the Old Midleton Distillery) merged to form the Irish Distillers Group. It was subsequently decided to close the existing distilleries and consolidate all production in a new, very modern facility. This was built in Midleton. In 1975 production ended in the Old Jameson Distillery and began in the new one. The old distillery has now been converted into a visitor center.

Jameson IPA matured the entire time in five different oak barrels (ex-bourbon barrels, ex-sherry barrels and virgin oak barrels from Ireland, Europe and the USA.) Bottled at 46% vol. Alcohol.

Aroma: On the nose, the whiskey develops an exotic sweetness, paired with nuances of vanilla and oak, interspersed with fruit and spice notes.

Taste: On the palate, the Jameson Five Oak Cask Release is intense and complex. It combines the taste of fresh fruit, vanilla and spices with the spice of oak and a touch of honey.
