Isle of Raasay Cask Strength 2024 0.7l, alc. 61.3% vol.

Opened in 2017, the Raasay Distillery is the first legal distillery on the Scottish island of the same name. In collaboration with local smallholder farmers, the distillery grows its own barley on site, using local peat for drying. Raasay is committed to further expanding these collaborations to produce a 100% regional single malt whisky from this island.

Isle of Raasay Single Malt Scotch Whisky matured for an unspecified period in a combination of ex-rye whiskey, virgin chinkapin oak, and Bordeaux red wine casks. Bottled at a robust 61.3% ABV, it is color-free and non-chill-filtered.

Aroma and flavor: Delicate smoke, cherries, apricots, and black currants. Candied ginger, black pepper, cinnamon with vanilla, and butterscotch are replaced by sandalwood and a hint of salt.
