Islay Mist 10 Years Blended Scotch Whiskey 0.7l, alc. 40% by volume

The Islay Mist brand owes its existence to a celebration held for the 21st birthday of the son (later Lord Margadale) of the Laird of Islay House. It was thought that the famous single malt Laphroaig might be too heavy for such an important celebration with guests from far and wide, so it was mixed with selected Speyside single malts and Lowland single grains. The result proved so popular that a similar bottling was marketed off under the Islay Mist name.

Islay Mist 10 years matured the entire time in oak barrels. Bottled at 40 vol. % alcohol.

Aroma: Spicy with some tobacco and peat smoke, mild nuttiness, grain.

Taste: Hints of ripe fruit, some pepper, robust malt and smoke with a delicate herbal accent.
