Hillerich Pure Red Port wine 0.5l, alc. 19.5% vol.

Reinhold Hillerich calls his port wine from Churfranken, which he has been producing since 2011, “Hillport”.

"We were impressed by port wine on a wine trip to Portugal. Since the steep slopes of the Douro are similar to our steep vineyards in Churfranken, I took the step to create a real classic of the wine world," says the expert, who is celebrating groundbreaking successes with his experiment making it unique in Germany.

The white sweet wine is made from the fruity white wine varieties Bachus, Müller Thurgau and Kerner, and the red Hillport wine is made from the Regent grape variety.

The production process is lengthy as the wine has to be stored in special oak barrels for three years.
