Highland Park is not only one of the most northerly distilleries in Scotland, but also one of the oldest. The operators of the distillery claim that it was founded in 1798. Located in the town of Kirkwall in the Orkneys, Highland Park produces a spicy, smoky single malt and is one of the few distilleries in Scotland that uses its own malt floors. The bottlings have nicknames reminiscent of the Vikings.

Highland Park Triskelion matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks for an undefined period of time. Bottled at 45.1% ABV. Alcohol, without dye.

Aroma: Ripe fruit, nutty sherry, sweet with floral notes and mineral smoke, dry wood

Taste: Fruit sweetness and acidity in the mix, honey and vanilla, wild berries with a delicate spiciness and mild oak.
