Highland Park is not only one of the most northerly distilleries in Scotland, but also one of the oldest. The operators of the distillery claim that it was founded in 1798. Located in the town of Kirkwall in the Orkneys, Highland Park produces a spicy, smoky single malt and is one of the few distilleries in Scotland that uses its own malt floors. The bottlings have nicknames reminiscent of the Vikings.

Highland Park 21 years matured the entire time in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks. Bottled at 46% ABV. Alcohol, without dye.

Aroma: Tropical fruits, sweet dried fruit, sweetness and spice mixed with subtle notes of oak and ginger.

Taste: Sour-sweet with pineapple and mango, some orange peel, vanilla and caramel, spicy-floral with dry oak.
