Highland Park is not only one of the most northerly distilleries in Scotland, but also one of the oldest. The operators of the distillery claim that it was founded in 1798. Located in the town of Kirkwall in the Orkneys, Highland Park produces a spicy, smoky single malt and is one of the few distilleries in Scotland that uses its own malt floors. The bottlings have nicknames reminiscent of the Vikings.

Highland Park 10 years matured the entire time in ex-bourbon casks. Bottled at a mild 40% ABV. Alcohol, without dye.

Aroma: Citrus fruits, spicy-floral with grain and some peat smoke.

Taste: Pepper and hints of vanilla, citrusy with green apples, spicy smoke and delicate oak.
