Founded in 1828, Springbank Distillery is one of the last remaining distilleries in the Campbeltown region, having once been one of over 30. What makes this distillery special is that it produces three different single malts: Springbank, Hazelburn, and Longrow. Each of these three single malts has a unique character and delights connoisseurs worldwide. Springbank is Scotland's oldest family-owned distillery.
Hazelburn is triple distilled, which is unusual for Scottish single malt. This results in an exceptionally smooth, elegant whisky with no peat notes whatsoever, focusing purely on malt character and cask maturation. Like all Springbank bottlings, Hazelburn is 100% malted, distilled, and bottled in-house, without coloring and non-chill filtered.
This limited special bottling matured for a full 7 years in selected former Oloroso sherry casks made from Spanish oak. Distilled in June 2018, bottled in March 2026, globally limited to only 9,000 bottles. Bottled at a robust 47.9% Vol. alcohol, without coloring, non-chill filtered.
Nose: Dark dried fruits, ripe raisins and figs with walnuts, dark chocolate and a hint of caramel.
Taste: Full-bodied and smooth - opulent Oloroso sherry sweetness, dried plums and dates, spicy oak, fine dark chocolate and a long, warm finish with dark fruit and a hint of nut.
