In 1966, John Power & Son, John Jameson & Son and the Cork Distilleries Company (which operated Old Midleton Distillery) combined to form the Irish Distillers Group. Subsequently, it was decided to close the existing distilleries and to bundle the entire production in a new, very modern facility. This was built in Midleton. In 1975 production ended at the Old Jameson Distillery and began at the new one. The old distillery has now been converted into a visitor centre.
Green Spot Château Léoville Barton matured in a combination of former bourbon and sherry casks for an undefined period of time and then received a post-maturation in Bordeaux red wine casks. Bottled at 46% ABV. Alcohol.
Aroma: Spicy and woody with a mix of light and dark fruit notes, floral.
Taste: Spicy and sweetness in balance, some caramel and cloves, berries and green apples.
