Glenrothes 13 years Simply Good 0.7l, alc. 50.2 Vol.-%

The Glenrothes distillery was built in 1878 on the former site of a sawmill and was the second distillery in the Scottish town of Rothes after Glen Grant. In May 1922 a fire destroyed over 2,500 filled whiskey casks. The burning contents spilled into the river in front of the distillery, which runs right through the town. Glenrothes is known for its single malts, which mature almost exclusively in Spanish sherry casks.

This 13 year old single malt whiskey was distilled in 2008. It matured in a single 2nd fill Sherry Butt until 2021 in the Simply Good Whiskey Series from the German importer Kirsch Import at natural cask strength with 50.2% vol. was bottled.
