Evidence of (illegal) whisky distillation in the region around the town of Tain dates back to around 1700, but it wasn't until 1843 that the Glenmorangie Distillery began producing legal whisky. The distillery was the first to extensively mature its whisky in different casks. Over the years, the distillery was expanded several times, but it deliberately retained its small but tall stills, which are unique in their shape throughout Scotland.
Glenmorangie Harrison Ford matured entirely in bourbon and toasted Portuguese red wine casks. Bottled at 46.5% abv.
Nose: Fresh, lively citrus notes, orange marmalade, jasmine, honeysuckle, beeswax, vanilla
Taste: Citrus fruits, bitter orange, grapefruit, sweet, spicy, baked bread, apricots, brown sugar, caramel
