The company Gordon & MacPhail with over 100 years of history can count itself among the largest in the field of independent bottlers. From a gigantic stock of casks, G&M bottles, among other things, the oldest whiskeys in the world. These include single malts such as Mortlach 75 years and Glenlivet 80 years. Today the company is in the hands of the fourth generation of the Urquhart family and runs the Benromach distillery in Speyside, Scotland. Another distillery is currently under construction - the so-called Cairn Distillery.

Glenlivet 50 years comes from the Scottish Speyside and matured in oak casks from 1956 to 2006. Bottled for the 50th anniversary of La Maison du Whiskey in 2006 at 40 vol. % alcohol, without coloring. Bottle No. 14 of a total of 50 filled.

Nose: Deep oak notes with hints of polish, toasted grain, light mint and fully ripe fruit.

Taste: Intense spiciness, ripe apples and pears, candied ginger, eucalyptus, dark chocolate and distinctive oak.
