The Glenlivet celebrates its 200th anniversary with this limited edition of the 12-year-old whiskey. The history of the Glenlivet distillery is impressive. Founded in 1824 by George Smith as Scotland's first legally producing distillery, Glenlivet made a name for itself in the region of the same name. Many other distilleries sprouted up almost overnight through the licensing and used the name “Glenlivet” in order to share in the success of the distillery founded by George Smith. Today, Glenlivet is one of the most successful Scottish distilleries in the world, alongside Macallan and Glenfiddich.

Glenlivet 12 years matured the entire time in a combination of former oak and sherry casks. Bottled with a mild 43% vol. Alcohol.

Aroma: A scent of fresh citrus fruits, pears and apples, accompanied by woody tones and some spicy malt.

Taste: gentle, breathy attack, becoming crisper, with black pepper, blooming summer flowers, tropical fruits, caramel toffees and bourbon vanilla
