Glenfiddich Vat 01 1.0l, alc. 40 Vol.-%

The Glenfiddich Distillery was built by William Grant between 1886 and 1887 and began production on Boxing Day 1887. In 1892 the founder took a break from managing Glenfiddich Distillery to establish the nearby Balvenie Distillery, also still owned by William Grant & Sons. In 1963, the distinctive three-sided Glenfiddich bottle was introduced. In the same year, the distillery also launched the first official single malt whiskey ever.

Glenfiddich Vat 01 matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and red wine casks for an undefined period. Bottled at a mild 40% ABV. Alcohol.

Aroma: Sweet with barley malt, ripe fruit, some honey and slightly dry oak.

Taste: Sweetness and spice mixed with caramel and vanilla, fruity, delicate wood.
