Glenfarclas Single Cask 1991 0.7l, alc. 56.3 vol.%

The Glenfarclas distillery was founded in 1836 by Robert Hay in Speyside, Scotland and was licensed to distill whiskey in 1844. In 1865 the distillery was sold to John Grant, whose descendants later renovated the distillery and still own it today. Glenfarclas is known for its single malts, which mature entirely in ex-sherry casks. Hardly any Scottish distillery has such an extensive range of different bottlings.

Glenfarclas Family Casks matured in a single sherry cask from 1991 to 2020. Bottled with a strong 56.3% vol. Alcohol, no coloring, not chill-filtered.

Aroma: fruity with apricots and some pineapple, floral with some heather and herbs, milk chocolate.

Taste: Sweet pastries with ripe fruit, grated hazelnuts, herbal honey and hints of mocha.
