Glendalough Calvados XO Cask Finish 0.7l, alc. 42 Vol.-%

Glendalough Distillery was founded in 2011 by five friends from Dublin. Various styles of Irish whiskey are produced on site in small batches. The distillery also produces gin. The labels of the bottles depict Saint Kevin who, according to legend, stood in the water for 13 days and 13 nights holding blackbird eggs in his hands until the chicks hatched. He stayed there for another 13 days until they fledged.

Glendalough Single Cask Calvados XO Cask Finish first matured in ex-bourbon casks for an undefined period of time and then received post-maturation in a single Calvados cask. Bottled at 42% ABV. Alcohol.

Aroma: Flowery notes, ripe fruit with a delicate mix of sweetness and spice, dry and grainy.

Taste: Fruity with ripe apples, some acidity, caramel and grain, tart woodiness.
